I was required to make a greyscale, high frequency sculpture with good animation ready edge looping for the art test.  This head was built from scratch in maya, sculpted in ZBrush and UV mapped in a little over 1 (long) working day.]]>

Rendered using Mental Ray inside of Maya with Amb Oc.  The occlusion pass is new(ish) to me, so it was also an experiment with settings. ]]>

I've had to go back to the research phase on the project as I am unsure of final skin textures and general high frequency details for marine reptiles of this period.  <br />

Finally 32 bit floating point displacement maps, bump map and cavity maps will be exported for final rendering inside of Mental Ray.  ]]>
